8 Transport and Package
The symbols “UP - FRAGILE” and the gross weigh are clearly stamped on packages.
Adequate lifting means are to be used if the weight exceeds the limits of the amount of weight that a worker
is allowed to lift as set by the existing regulations .
All pressure-sensitive bumpers and control units are 100% tested throughout the different manufacture
phases.
Upon delivery of goods and during the installation, inspect package and goods to make sure they have not
been damaged during transport. If signs of damage are noted, please immediately notify this situation to the
carrier and inform GAMMA SYSTEM.
While opening the package, care should be taken not to damage the content. DO NOT USE cutters or sharp
objects. Bumpers are delivered to the Customer packed in cardboard boxes.
WARNING!
Do not move the bumper by pulling it on the power cord. Failure to respect these instructions can lead to
severe, non repairable damage.
8.1 Storage
The pressure-sensitive bumper supplied in the “mounted version” shall be stored on a flat surface.
Store the bumpers) in a place with temperature in the range between -10°C and +50 °C. Keep the
relative humidity level not higher than 75%. During storage, make sure, before mounting phases, that
the product does not show traces of humidity or condensation.
Make sure that the bumper is not in contact with corrosive chemical agents.
Do not superimpose any weight on bumpers. Permanent deformation can result from prolonged
crushing.
Store in adequate zones/premises which ensure protection against possible mechanical damage.
