- Once maintenance and repairs are complete and
before restarting the machine, make sure that the
work is completed, that the safety devices have
been reactivated and that the guards have been
replaced.
- When working on soft ground, near drop-offs, di-
tches or slopes proceed with caution to avoid any
tilting of the machine.
Refer to section «1.8 Technical data» for maximum
gradients.
- Never touch parts whilst in movement or place
things between them (especially the Crawler tracks
and chains) maintaining a safe distance.
- During maintenance do not operate the machine
in areas that are poorly ventilated: exhaust fumes
are harmful to health.
- It is strictly forbidden to remove or tamper with
the safety devices.
- Supplies of fuel and oil should only be performer
with the engine off, and when it is not too hot.
When refuelling, do not smoke or get close to an
open flame. Immediately wipe up any spilled fuel
before starting the engine.
- Read and understand the instructions in the
engine manual supplied separately and, in par-
ticular, the safety information.
2.3 WARNING SIGNS
The machine has been designed adopting all pos-
sible safety standards for the protection of those
using it. Nevertheless there may be additional
risks, some of which are reported on the machine
with the adhesive warning signs (pictograms) that
indicate the various situations of insecurity and
danger in essential form.
Figure 4 shows the position in which these picto-
grams are positioned. It is necessary to keep them
clean and replace them immediately if they beco-
me loose or damaged.
When replacing damaged or missing safety sti-
ckers, position them in the same location provided.
With reference to Figure 4, please read that de-
scrive below and memorize its meaning.

could get caught in moving parts. During working
hours, wear reflective clothing.
2) When the machine is working, protect your
head properly with a helmet.
3) Wear protective cut-resistant gloves.
4) When at work, wear ear muffs.
5) When working, wear protective shoes with rein-

tched off.
7) Hot surfaces are a burn hazard. Before
working on the engine, wait until the hot parts cool
down.

safe distance and out of range of the Trencher.

Keep a safe distance from the machine
