the correct crawler track tensioning (it should have
the possibility to oscillate about 3 cm as shown in
Figure 14). Once this is done block the nut thus
preventing the return of the screw.
Check first one crawler track and then the other.
5.8 REPLACING THE CRAWLER
TRACKS
Should the tracks present excessive wear, they
should be replaced.
DANGER
To replace the crawler tracks, it is necessary to
manoeuvre the machine with the engine swi-
tched off, resting on the internal part of the cra-
wler tracks on a raised and stable platform and
following the following steps:
- Loosen the nut (8 Fig. 10) and unscrew the
screw (9 Fig. 10) until it is possible to slip off the
crawler track.
- Pull off the crawler track from the drive wheels
and then from the machine.
- Insert the new crawler track by fitting it onto the
drive wheel (1 Fig. 14) and the idler wheel (2 Fig.
14), taking care to align the cogged wheel with the
central linings inside the crawler track.
- Tighten the track by tightening the screw (9 Fig.
10) and once it reaches the proper tension, tighten
the nut (8 Fig. 10).
5.9 EXTRAORDINARY
MAINTENANCE
Extraordinary maintenance operations are not co-
vered in this manual but must be carried out exclu-
sively by the Manufacturer or by personnel trained
and authorized by the same.
5.10 STAND-BY
If long periods of inactivity are foreseen, it is ne-
cessary to clean the machine thoroughly lubrica-
ting the parts subject to wear and covering it with a
plastic sheet. If these operations are carried out
with care, the benefit will be to the user as on re-
turning to work the equipment will be in excellent
condition.
5.11 DISMANTLING THE MACHINE
Should a decision be taken to dismantle the machi-
ne, it will be necessary to separate its components
into homogeneous parts that must be disposed of
separately in accordance with the local regulations
regarding waste disposal.
Dispose of used lubricants and the different deter-
gents, according to their differentiated structure.
WARNING
For disposal of the various components, only
contact companies who are legally authorized
and able to issue a receipt of disposal.
