Why does the media shift away when plotting a long drawing on my GCC Technologies Plotter?
    • S
      Samantha BradfordAug 20, 2025
If the media shifts away when plotting a long drawing on your GCC Technologies Plotter, try reloading the media to ensure it's accurately aligned. Pre-running the media back and forth using the arrow keys may also help. Check if the edge of the media is straight, and if it's too thin, replace it. Additionally, ensure the drum is free from paper chips or dust; clean it if necessary. If the drum or pinch roller is worn, consider replacing them.

Why are the lines wavy on my GCC Technologies Plotter?
    • S
      Sandra RichmondAug 22, 2025
If the lines on your GCC Technologies Plotter are wavy, make sure the tool fastening screw is tightened. A worn blade can also cause this issue, so replace it if necessary. Lowering the acceleration setting and adjusting the tension of the carriage, X, or Y motor belts might help. If the spring loading bearing of the carriage is damaged, replace the carriage set. Ensure the media isn't too short in the X direction or too thin, and replace if needed. Lastly, check the condition of the drum and pinch roller; replace if worn. If X or Y motor is damaged, change it.

How to improve line quality at corners and endpoints on GCC Technologies Jaguar IV?
    • E
      Eric DawsonAug 25, 2025
If the line quality is not good enough at the corner or the end point on your GCC Technologies Plotter, ensure the tool is fastened. A worn blade can cause this, so change it if needed. Correct the offset value, reload the media to ensure it is flat, and if the media is wet or of poor quality, replace it. Also, check if the drum or pinch roller is worn, and replace them if necessary.

What to do if the media drops sometimes from my GCC Technologies Jaguar IV Plotter?
    • C
      Cody HollandAug 26, 2025
If the media drops sometimes from your GCC Technologies Plotter, first, reload the media, ensuring it is not loaded askew. Make sure the pinch roller is positioned correctly on top of the drum. If the edge of the media is broken or the front is uneven, replace or cut the front edge evenly before reloading. Clean the drum surface if it's coated with paper chips or dust. If the drum or pinch roller is worn, replace them.

Why is the carriage locked and not moving on my GCC Technologies Jaguar IV Plotter?
    • R
      Richard BaileyAug 28, 2025
If your GCC Technologies Plotter's carriage is locked and cannot move, the spring loading bearing of the carriage might be damaged, requiring replacement of the carriage set. Alternatively, the carriage belt may be too tight and need adjustment. Also, check if any fastening screws are loose, causing the shaft bearing of the carriage belt to drop; if so, tighten them.

Why doesn't the tool carriage move up and down on my GCC Technologies Jaguar IV Plotter?
    • C
      clarkmelissaAug 30, 2025
If the tool carriage on your GCC Technologies Plotter doesn't perform the up/down action, first, ensure the blade holder is correctly installed according to the user guide. If it still fails, the flat cable, carriage PCB, VCM, VCM encoder, driver board set could be damaged and need replacement, or the linear bearing shaft of VCM is rusty and also needs replacement of the Carriage set. Also check if the two small bearings clamp the linear bearing shaft too tight and need adjustment.

Why does my GCC Technologies Plotter make abnormal noise from the drum set when running?
    • N
      Nathan HillSep 1, 2025
If the machine makes abnormal noise from the drum set when it is running, check if the X or Y motor belt is loose and adjust the belt tension. The driver board set could be damaged and need replacement. Also, the gear at the left of drum set might not be tightly mounted on the shaft and needs replacement. Check if the screws that fasten the drum to the shaft are loose and fasten the screws. If the X or Y motor is damaged, change it.

Why does there appear to be an unexpected tool force on my GCC Technologies Jaguar IV?
    • Z
      zgonzalezSep 3, 2025
If there appears an unexpected tool force on your GCC Technologies Plotter, reset the tool force. If the blade length out of the blade holder is too short, reload the blade. The initial force setting might be wrong, so reset the initial force (please contact the manufacturer). The VCM or VCM encoder could be damaged, requiring replacement of the carriage set.

Why can't the pinch roller position be detected on my GCC Technologies Jaguar IV?
    • M
      mjuarezSep 7, 2025
If the position of pinch roller cannot be detected on your GCC Technologies Plotter, ensure the pinch roller is lowered by enabling it and pushing the lever forward. If the orientation of the width sensor on the carriage PCB is incorrect, adjust it. If the width sensor's position on the carriage PCB is too high, lower the carriage PCB. Check for a broken flat cable, damaged width sensor, or damaged carriage PCB set, replacing them as necessary.
