2.5.6 Removal of Knockouts for Extra
Cables
1. Remove cable entry from the frequency converter
(Avoiding foreign parts falling into the frequency
converter when removing knockouts)
2. Cable entry has to be supported around the
knockout you intend to remove.
3. The knockout can now be removed with a strong
mandrel and a hammer.
4. Remove burrs from the hole.
5. Mount Cable entry on frequency converter.
2.5.7 Gland/Conduit Entry (Unit Sizes 41h,
42h, and 51)
Cables are connected through the gland plate from the
bottom. Remove the plate and plan where to place the
entry for the glands or conduits. Prepare holes in the
marked area on the drawing.
NOTE
The gland plate must be fitted to the frequency converter
to ensure the specified protection degree, as well as
ensuring proper cooling of the unit. If the gland plate is
not mounted, the frequency converter may trip on Alarm
69, Pwr. Card Temp
2.5.8 Control Wiring
Isolate control wiring from high power
components in the frequency converter.
If the frequency converter is connected to a
thermistor, for PELV isolation, optional thermistor
control wiring must be reinforced/double
insulated. A 24 V DC supply voltage is
recommended.
2.5.8.1 Access
Remove access cover plate with a screw driver.
See Illustration 2.13.
Or remove front cover by loosening attaching
screws. See Illustration 2.14.
