COLLIMATOR
INSTALLATION
NOTE:
BE
CAREFUL!
Bumping
the
fingers
projecting
from
the
top
of
the
collimator
could
bend
them
out
of
alignment.

Mounting
Collimator

With
the
tube
unit,
port
up,
carefully
place
the
collimator
into
the
interface
plate.
Position
so
that
the
mounting
screw
holes
line
up.
Attach
the
collimator
to
the
interface
plate
with
the
(3)
10-24
unc
x
3/4”
hex
soc
hms.
Use
the
9/64
T-handle
Allen
wrench
furnished
with
the
collimator
(46-165137P1).
2.
Rotate
the
tube
unit
and
collimator
for
port
down
x-ray
beam
and
raise
the
horizontal
telescoping
arm
for
a
suitable
working
height.

Connect
Collimator
Cable
1.
|
Unscrew
and
push
the
Rotational
Detent
Button
on
the
right
side
of
the
collimator.
Rotate
the
collimator
90°
to
the
left
for
access
to
the
connector
housing.
2.
Remove
the
connector
housing
cover
at
the
rear
of
the
Collimator.
It
is
held
by
two
screws.
3.
Route
the
collimator
cable
under
the
fork
trunnion
and
connect
the
plug
to
the
collimator
jack.
NOTE:
The
jack
screws
must
be
alternately
taken
up
a
few
turns
at
a
time
until
the
plug
is
drawn
up
tightly
and
evenly
to
the
socket.
4.
Reinstall
the
connector
housing
on
the
rear
of
the
collimator.
