Volume control mode (VCV)
• Supplies a set volume to the
patient
• Calculates a ow based on the set
tidal volume and the length of the
inspiratory time
• Can compensate for breathing
system compliance, fresh gas
ow, and moderate breathing
system leaks
• Inspiratory pause is available
