Before delivering the shock, check that the pads
are firmly seated.
Defibrillate the patient as described for
defibrillation with paddles (page 19).
Be sure to charge the defibrillator with
and
to deliver the shock by simultaneously pressing
the buttons
and
(Figure 4-8).
Carefully remove the electrodes after use
(Figure 4-9) and discard them immediately.
Note
Discard disposable pads immediately after use. Do
not reuse them.
