Why won’t the storage drawer close on my GE Ranges?

  If the storage drawer on your GE Ranges won’t close, the power cord may be obstructing the drawer in the lower back of the range. Reposition the drawer and power cord. See the Storage Drawer Removal Instructions in the Care and cleaning of the range section. Also, the rear drawer support may be on top of the guide rail. Reposition the drawer. See the Storage Drawer Removal instructions in the Care and cleaning of the range section. Finally, the soft close mechanism may be uncoupled from the drawer. Reset the mechanism, see Soft Close Drawer section.

Also, oven controls may be improperly set. See the Using the Oven section. Finally, the oven may be in Sabbath Mode. Verify, that the oven is not in Sabbath Mode. See the Special Features section.

To avoid scratches, use the recommended cleaning procedures. Make sure bottoms of cookware are clean before use, and use cookware with smooth bottoms.

  Areas of discoloration on your GE Ranges cooktop can be caused by food spillovers not cleaned before the next use. See the Cleaning the glass cooktop section. It can also be caused by a hot surface on a model with a light-colored cooktop, which is normal. The surface may appear discolored when it is hot, but this is temporary and will disappear as the glass cools.

  If you are unable to get the display to show “OFFSET” on your GE Ranges, it's likely that the oven control pads were not touched properly. The BROIL HI/LO and BAKE pads must be touched at the same time and held for 3 seconds.

Why is the DOOR LOCK light on when I want to cook in my GE Ranges oven?

  The DOOR LOCK light is on because the oven door is locked as the temperature inside the GE Ranges oven hasn't dropped below the locking temperature. Press the Cancel/Off pad and allow the oven to cool down.

Why do I hear fan noise on my GE PB935 Ranges?

  The fan noise you hear on some GE Ranges models is normal. A convection fan may turn on and off automatically to maximize cooking evenness and operates during preheat of the bake cycle, turning off after the oven reaches the set temperature. Additionally, a cooling fan may also turn on and off to cool internal parts, even after the oven is turned off.
