7.0 Connecting: Software
Users will need to connect the 360 to a software system to operate the speakers and broadcast
communications. This section details the software systems compatible with the 360.
7.1 Genasys Emergency Management (GEM) Software
GEM is a comprehensive communication network that allows users to broadcast important
emergency information across several channels. This cloud-based software can be accessed and
controlled from anywhere in the world, ensuring users can always broadcast critical
communications.
GEM allows users to test, schedule, operate, and modify 360 systems remotely.
GEM is a multifaced communications tool that allows users to go beyond the reach of speaker
systems. In addition to broadcasting via the 360, GEM allows users to send information using
the following output channels:
Short Message Service (SMS/Text Messages)
Cell Broadcast
Push Notification
Email
Voice Call
Web
Social Media (Facebook, Twitter)
RSS Feeds
IPAWS (Integrated Public Alert & Warning System, USA only)
To learn more about GEM, contact your Sales Representative or consult the GEM user manual.
7.2 Streamer Software
Genasys Streamer is a network streaming software that allows users to send live or
prerecorded audio to the 360 over a local TCP/IP network. The Steamer software is standalone
and located on-site, so it operates without relying on an external network connection.
To learn more about Streamer, contact your Sales Representative or consult the Streamer user
