TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Transportor store the generatoronly if it has cooled completely.
Make surethe fuel valve andthe vent on the fuel cap are both in
the OFF("0") position.
It is important to preventgum deposits from forming in essential
fuel system parts such asthe carburetor, fuel hose or tank during
long-term storage.Also, experienceindicatesthat alcohol-blended
fuels (called gasohol, ethanol or methanol) can attract moisture,
which leadsto separationandformation of acids; these acids can
damagethefuel systemof an enginewhile in storage.
Toavoidengineproblems, the use of a commercialfuel stabilizer
prior to storage is recommended. Follow the manufacturer's
instructionswhen addingthe fuelstabilizer.
If thegeneratoris goingto bestoredfor morethan six (6) months,
the generatorshouldbe preparedas follows:
1. Removeall gasolinefrom the fueltank.
2. Startandrun engineuntilenginestops from lackoffuelor open

engineoil into the cylinders. Cover spark plug hole with rag.
Pullthe starting ropeseveraltimes to coat the cylinderwalls
with engineoil.

6. Cleanthe generator outer surfaces. Check that cooling air

7. Storethe unitin a clean,dry place.

If possible, store the unit indoors and cover it to give protection
