  First, check the power source by plugging a lamp into the outlet used for the power head. If the lamp works, the power source is OK; if not, check the fuse or circuit breaker. If the power is OK, check the connections at the power head terminals and at the wall control. Also, check for reversed, broken, or cut wires, as staples can cut the insulation and short the wires. Repair or replace any damaged wires.

  If your Genie Garage Door Opener door starts to close, then stops and goes back up, it might be due to these reasons: * For new installations, check the door arm position. * Check if the Safe-T-Beam® red LED is flashing. * Inspect the Safe-T-Beam® system for obstructions or misalignment. Realign or replace the sensors if needed. * Check the "CLOSE FORCE" adjustment. * Inspect the garage door for any binding. If these steps don't resolve the issue, you can force the door closed by holding the wall control button until it is completely closed. As a last resort, disconnect the Safe-T-Beam® System and contact an authorized Genie® dealer or The Genie Company.
