6. Description
The main components of HT21 series machines are the following:
Boiler: Contains hot water for steam and hot tea.
Heat exchanger: It is the system fitted in the boiler and its purpose is to heat up the fresh water coming from the mains to the
correct temperature. Fresh water is used to make coffee.
Group “coffee brewing head”: This is the component where the filter holder is inserted. The pressurized hot water enters the
group, where the processes of preinfusion, infusion and delivery of the coffee take place.
Heating source: An electric heater warms the water in the boiler, for the steam generation or warms the groups.
Electric volumetric pump: This component is to increase the water pressure of the mains to the correct water pressure for
espresso coffee preparation which is app. 9 bars.
Steam valves and wands: These components deliver hot steam for milk frothing.
Hot water wand: This delivers hot water.
Control devices
Pressure gauge pump:
Indicates the inlet water pressure and the working pressure of the pump, scale from 0 – 15 bar. The recommended pump
pressure during coffee brewing should be 8 – 10 bar.
Pressure gauge boiler:
Indicates the boiler pressure, scale from 0 - 3 bar. The correct boiler pressure is around 1 bar.
Temperature probe:
Accurate temperature probes are used for manage the heat sources.
Automatic Boiler Water Level control:
Two probes are used to control the minimum and maximum level of the water inside the boiler.
Safety devices
Boiler:
Safety valve 1,5 bar pressure boiler.
Safety thermostat 145° manual rearming.
Eletronical management maximum working temperature.
Boiler auto-level water.
Cups warmer:
Security thermostat automatic rearming.
Elettronical management maximum working temperature.
