Why is my Greenheck Fan making excessive noise?

  Excessive noise in your Greenheck Fan can stem from several causes. Check the following: * Tighten collars and fasteners, lubricate or replace defective bearings. * Tighten pulleys, adjust belt tension, align pulleys, or replace worn belts or pulleys. * Clean dirt from the propeller, ensure all setscrews and fasteners are tight, check for worn bearings, correct propeller imbalance, and inspect for loose dampers, guards, or ductwork. * Consider replacing a defective motor. * Check the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) settings. * Remove any debris from the fan.

  Reduced airflow in your Greenheck Fan can be caused by several factors. First, check backdraft dampers for proper operation, remove obstructions in ductwork, clean dirty filters and check for adequate supply air for exhaust fans or exhaust air for supply fans. Also, increase the distance between the fan and damper if they are too close. Increase the fan speed if it is too low. Finally, clean the propeller if there is excessive dirt buildup.
