11. OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
11.1 CHECKSTOBECARRIEDOUTBEFORE
STARTINGTHEENGINE
Check that:
• Thehydrostatictransmissioncoolingnsarewellclean(g.2);
• Theintakegrillefortheenginecoolingisclean(g.3);
• The engine oil is level;
• The hydraulic oil is level;
• The forward/reverse pedal is in the neutral position (g. 4/
NEUTRAL);
• Theengineairlteriswellclean;
• The grid inside the basket is well clean; to remove it, unscrew the
wingnut(g.5)andpullthegridout;
• The cutting deck and loading chute are well clean and correctly
tted(g.6);
• ThePTOswitch(g.10/15)isoff;
• Thereissufcientfuelinsidethetank.

11.2 STARTINGTHEENGINE
1. Setthethrottlelevertothemiddleposition(g.7/6);
2. Iftheengineiscold,activatethechoke(g.7/7);
3. Insert the key into the steering column;
4. By turning the key one position (g. 8/I) the electrical circuit is
powered: the control unit performs a safety and function check and
a red led lights up on the dashboard;
5. Byturningthekeytothelastposition(g.8/III)theengineisstarted;
6. Release the key after starting, it will return to the working position
(g.8/II);toswitchonthework-lightthekeymustbeturnedback
oneposition(g.8/I);
7. Deactivate the choke (if actuated).
