16.1 FUELSYSTEMMAINTENANCE

neartheengine(g.42).Formaintenanceintervalsandmethodsfollow
the rules contained in this manual (ref. 18. Maintenance schedule); for
further details consult the engine manual.

16.2 MAINTENANCEOFTHEFRONTHYDROSTATIC
TRANSMISSION
Periodically check the level in the hydraulic oil expansion tank when the
oil is cold.
Tocheckortopuptheoillevel,unscrewtheoillevelplug(g.43).
Visually check the oil level in the expansion tank: when the engine is
cold, the oil level should be approximately 1 cm from the bottom of the
expansion tank.

To replace the hydraulic oil in the front hydrostatic transmission, proceed
as follows:
1. Unscrewthetwodrainplugs(g.44ref.AandB);
2. Removetheleft-sidebonnettoaccesstheoilllercapinthetank
(g.43);
3. Unscrewthehydrostatictransmissionoillterandcleanit;replace
itifnecessary(g.45);
4. Whendrainingiscomplete,screwthetwoplugsbackonandret
thelter;

5. Engage the bypass valve by pushing the rod towards the inside
of the machine (g. 46) to allow the oil to drain from the main
hydrostatic circuit;
6. Removethettingonthehydrostatictransmission(g.48/A)and
llthehydraulicchamberofthetransmissionwithoil;
7. Removetheplugonthehydrostatictransmission(g.48/B)andll
the mechanical chamber of the transmission with oil;
8. Rettheplugandtheconnection,thenlltheexpansionpipe(g.
48/C) with oil, bringing the oil level to approximately 1 cm from the
bottom of the expansion tank.
