10. Technical data
10.1 Operating conditions
10.1.1 Operating pressure
All pump housings have PN 10 outlet flanges.
10.1.2 Operating mode
The pumps are designed for continuous operation,
S1, or intermittent operation, S3.
Operating mode S3 means that within 10 minutes the
pump must be in operation for four minutes and
stopped for six minutes.
10.1.3 pH value
SE pumps in permanent installations can cope with
the following pH values:
*
For fluctuating pH values, the range is pH 4-14.
10.1.4 Liquid temperature
0-40 °C.
For short periods (maximum 1 hour), a temperature
of up to 60 °C is permissible for non-Ex versions.
10.1.5 Ambient temperature
The allowed ambient temperature is -20 to + 40 °C.
10.1.6 Density and viscosity of the pumped liquid
When pumping liquids with a density and/or a
kinematic viscosity higher than that of water, use
motors with correspondingly higher outputs.
10.1.7 Flow velocity
We recommend that you keep a minimum flow
velocity to avoid sedimentations in the pipes.
Recommended flow velocities:
– in vertical pipes: 0.7 m/s
– in horizontal pipes: 1.0 m/s.
10.1.8 Maximum solids size
From 50 to 100 mm, depending on the pump size.
10.1.9 Maximum starts per hour
Maximum 20 starts per hour.
10.1.10 Noise emission < 70 dB(A)
Measurements were carried out on dry-installed
pumps in a closed system.
Sound power measurements were carried out
according to ISO 3743.
Sound power was calculated at a distance of 1 m
according to ISO 11203.
The sound pressure level of the pump is lower than
the limiting values stated in the EC Council directive
2006/42/EC relating to machinery.
10.2 Dimensions and weights
See Appendix, pages 33 to 49.
10.3 Storage temperature
Storage temperature: -30 to +60 °C.
10.4 Electrical data
10.4.1 Supply voltage
3 x 230 V - 10 %/+ 6 %, 50 Hz.
3 x 400 V - 10 %/+ 6 %, 50 Hz.
10.4.2 Enclosure class
IP68, according to IEC 60529.
10.4.3 Insulation class
F (155 °C).
11. Disposing of the product
This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way:
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest
Grundfos company or service workshop.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on
a product means that it must be
disposed of separately from household
waste. When a product marked with this
symbol reaches its end of life, take it to a
collection point designated by the local
waste disposal authorities. The separate collection
and recycling of such products will help protect the
environment and human health.

Explosion-proof pumps must never pump
liquids with a temperature higher than 40
°C.
For explosion-proof pumps, the ambient
temperature on the installation site must
be in the range from -20 to +40 °C.
For explosion-proof pumps with WIO
sensor, the ambient temperature at the
installation site must be in the range from
0-40 °C.
