Quad/oCt lnb or multiswitCh
If the satellite reception system consists of a Quad/Oct LNB or Quattro LNB
with downstreamed Multiswitch, for each tuner a connection must be estab-
lished.
• Connect 4 outputs of the LNB/multiswitch to the inputs 1 … 4 of the
DSI 400 via suitable SAT antenna cables.
—> Tuner 1 will be assigned to the first client device (e.g. iPad, PC etc.),
which is logged in at the DSI 400, tuner 2 for the second client, and
so on. If you intend to use less than 4 client devices, you require
correspondingly less inputs (always starting from input 1).
After that the antenna configuration (page 18) must be set to "quad" (default)
.
Quattro lnb
If the satellite reception system consists of a Quattro LNB without down-
streamed multiswitch, for each tuner a connection must be established.
• Connect the 4 outputs of the quattro LNB to the inputs 1 … 4 of the
DSI 400 via suitable SAT antenna cables.
Therefore observe the following connection sequence:
LNB output "horizontal high" into input 1
LNB output "vertical high" into input 2
LNB output "horizontal low" into input 3
LNB output "vertical low" into input 4
—> The 4 reception rages are transmitted to the 4 tuners via an inte-
grated multiswitch.
After that the antenna configuration (page 18) must be set to "quattro".
