multiCast tr ansmission (multiCast streaming)
First a multicast playlist must be prepared and then uploaded to the DSI 400.
PreParing a sat>iP multiCast list
The list can be prepared/modufied in any text editor and must be stored in
m3u format (.m3u). As maximum the stations of 4 transponders can be added
(4 tuners).
If a station is transmitted in several languages, you can add all audio PIDs, in
order to select the desired language by the client (e.g. PC with VLC player).
For radio stations only add the audio PID.
The list must be structured as follows:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:[length of the stream in seconds],[name]
fe=[tuner selection]&src=[DiSEqC command]&freq=[satellite frequency]&sr=[symbol
rate]&pol=[polarisation]&msys=[transmission standard]&pids=[PAT,V-PID,A-PID,PMT]
—>
#EXTINF is optional; if the value for "length of the stream" is "-1", it
is not taken into account. The line "fe=…" contains the DVB reception
parameter.
Example:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,ZDF
fe=1&src=1&freq=11954&sr=27500&pol=h&msys=dvbs&pi
ds=0,1,110,120,100
#EXTINF:-1,TVP INFO
fe=2&src=1&freq=10861&sr=22000&pol=h&msys=dvbs&pi
ds=0,1,516,690,260
#EXTINF:-1,TVP POLONIA
fe=2&src=1&freq=10861&sr=22000&pol=h&msys=dvbs&pi
ds=0,1,514,670,258
The IP addresses of the streams are assigned automatically and start always
from 239.1.0.x. The fourth digit is consecutively numbered. The order is de-
fined by the parameters "tuner" and "PIDs" (first all stations of tuner 1 [fe=1]
in ascending PID order [pids=].
