9.5 rtsP (real-time streaming ProtoCol)
If you have comprehensive knowledge of satellite and EDV technology, you
also can perform the channel setting via RTSP.
Client devices/software which can communicate via the Real Time Streaming
Protocol (e.g. VLC player), are able to control the Sat tuner via RTSP com-
mands.
—> Example using the VLC player:
• Select "Media" -> "Open Network Stream".
• Enter the network address (URL) according to the following exam-
ple (values in square brackets are place holders):
rtsp://[DSI400 IP address]/?src=[DiSEqC command]&fe=[tuner]&
freq=[satellite frequency]&sr=[symbol rate]&pol=[polarization]&ms
ys=[demodulation standard]&pids=[PAT,PMT,V-PID,A-PID]
An example should look like this:
rtsp://192.168.10.51/?src=1&freq=10744&sr=22000&pol=h&
msys=dvbs&pids=0,400,401,402
In this example the DSI 400 has the IP address 192.168.10.51
and it tunes to DiSEqC Position A (src=1), frequency 10744MHz
(freq=10744), symbol rate 22Msys (sr=22000), DVB-S modulation
(msys=dvbs), polarization horizontal (pol=h) and the necessary PIDs -
PAT-PID, PMT-PID, Video-PID and Audio-PID - (pids=0,400,401,402).
As there is no frontend selected (fe=[Tuner]), this will be handled
automatically.
