Overview

The GVM-PRO-SD650B is a professional lighting and staging equipment designed for senior photographers, suitable for live broadcasts, outdoor and studio photography, and YouTube video shooting. This high-power LED light incorporates advanced features to enhance photographic and videographic work.

Function Description

The GVM-PRO-SD650B is primarily a photography fill light, equipped with high-definition COB beads that restore and enrich object colors, delivering natural and vivid shooting effects. It offers three distinct lighting modes: CCT mode, light source matching mode, and light effect mode.

In CCT mode, the device functions as a white light source, allowing users to adjust both light intensity (brightness) and color temperature. This mode is ideal for precise control over the ambient light, enabling photographers to match existing lighting conditions or create specific moods.

The light source matching mode provides 12 pre-set light source types. This feature significantly reduces adjustment time when a specific light source simulation is required, offering convenience and efficiency in various shooting scenarios.

The light effect mode offers 12 different light effects, including lightning, CCT cycle, candle, bad bulb, TV, paparazzi, explosion, breathing light, strobe, flame, firework, and welding. These effects allow for creative and dynamic lighting setups, adding dramatic flair or realistic simulations to productions.

The device supports multiple control methods, including DMX, wireless remote control, direct control via the light body, and APP Bluetooth MESH network control. The DMX interface supports both low-precision 8-bit and high-precision 16-bit control modes, providing flexibility for integration into professional lighting rigs. The APP control via iOS and Android smart mobile devices enables group control with other GVM brand devices that support Mesh networking, streamlining complex lighting setups.

Usage Features

The GVM-PRO-SD650B is designed for ease of installation and operation. It can be mounted on a light stand using a fixing knob, and its angle can be adjusted with an angle locking handle. A standard cover can be inserted into the Bowens bayonet socket by turning it clockwise and removed by pulling it outward and rotating it counterclockwise. The controller can be fixed to the light stand using a clip and connected to the light via a control wire.

The device offers two power supply modes: AC power cord and two V-mount batteries. It is important to note that both battery slots must be occupied for battery power, and the power output is halved when using batteries.

The controller features a display screen that shows current settings, modes, and parameters. Control keys include a mode key for switching between lighting modes, a menu key for accessing settings, and a return key for navigating back through menus. A cooling key activates a large air volume cooling system to reduce temperature. Two multi-functional coding knobs are provided: Knob ① for brightness adjustment and selection confirmation, and Knob ② for CCT adjustment and light effect change rate. A power button controls the ON/OFF state of the device.

The menu system allows for detailed configuration:

  • DMX Settings: Users can set DMX parameters, including address (001-512) and mode (8-bit/16-bit).
  • Dim Curve: The dimming curve can be set to linear, logarithmic, exponential, or S curve, offering precise control over light intensity transitions.
  • WL Settings: This section manages RF channel settings, RF switch, Bluetooth switch, and Bluetooth reset, facilitating wireless control and networking.
  • Studio Mode: When enabled, the brightness remains at the last setting after power-on. In non-studio mode, brightness resets to default.
  • Frequency Settings: Allows adjustment of the dimming frequency.
  • Fan Settings: Provides options for cooling fan modes (Smart, High, Silent).
  • Language: Supports setting the system language.
  • System Settings: Displays system information and allows for factory reset.

For APP control, users need to register an account and add devices. The app can detect nearby Bluetooth lighting devices, allowing users to connect and control them. Android devices require location permission for Mesh technology, but no location information is collected.

Maintenance Features

Proper use and preservation are crucial for the longevity of the GVM-PRO-SD650B. The product should not be exposed to high humidity, strong electromagnetic fields, direct sunlight, or high temperatures. For long-term storage, the power should be disconnected, and batteries removed.

Cleaning should be performed with a dry and soft cloth after disconnecting the power plug, avoiding wet cloths, detergents, or soluble liquids to prevent damage to the surface layer.

The power supply must be within the demanded range to prevent damage. Batteries should be loaded correctly.

In case of malfunction or performance degradation, users are advised not to disassemble the product themselves to avoid damaging the machine and voiding the warranty. Contacting the manufacturer or authorized repair personnel is recommended. Only accessories provided or approved by the manufacturer should be used to maximize performance.

The product comes with a one-year warranty, which does not cover consumables like batteries, adapters, power cords, and other accessories. The warranty is void if the equipment is privately repaired or if malfunctions are caused by non-standard operations. The manufacturer reserves the right to change design and specifications without notice, with updated information available on their official website.
