What to do if the red indicator light flashes on my Hach Controller?
    • G
      greenemarkSep 5, 2025
The red indicator light flashes when one or more measurements that the sampler is configured to use (such as pH and flow) are unavailable because the corresponding sensor(s) isn't connected. To resolve this, connect the missing sensor to the sampler. Also, verify that the sampler isn't configured to record unavailable sensor measurements to the data log or set up with alarms for sensor measurements that are not available.

Why does "---" show on the Hach Controller Status screen?
    • Q
      qscottSep 3, 2025
If "---" is displayed, it means the measurement is either not currently available or hasn't been recorded yet. The values displayed are the last recorded values, which are saved to the data log based on the chosen logging interval. Ensure that the measurement is being properly supplied to the sampler.

What to do if the sampler of my Hach Laboratory Equipment doesn't have sufficient lift?
    • A
      asmithSep 2, 2025
If the sampler does not have sufficient lift, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the strainer is completely submerged; if not, install the shallow depth strainer (2071 or 4652). Also, check for leaks in the intake tube and replace it if necessary. Lastly, inspect the pump tube for wear and replace if needed.

Why is the sample volume incorrect in my Hach Laboratory Equipment?
    • A
      Anne PhillipsAug 31, 2025
If the sample volume is incorrect, several factors could be at play: * The volume calibration may be off, so repeat the volume calibration. * The tube length specified in the sampling program may be incorrect, so ensure it is correct. * The intake tube may not be purging completely; ensure it is as vertical and short as possible. * The strainer may not be fully submerged; install the shallow depth strainer (2071 or 4652). * The pump tubing or roller assembly may be worn; replace them as needed. * The liquid detector may be disabled; turn it on and complete a volume calibration. * The liquid detector may not be operating correctly; calibrate it with the sampled liquid.

What to do if my Hach Laboratory Equipment has no instrument power?
    • J
      Jennifer ThomasAug 29, 2025
If your Hach Laboratory Equipment has no instrument power, first ensure that AC power is reaching the electrical outlet. If the problem persists, it may be due to a defective controller.

Why does Hach Laboratory Equipment sampler not have sufficient lift?
    • B
      Bradley SimmonsAug 28, 2025
If the sampler does not have sufficient lift in your Hach Laboratory Equipment, consider the following: * The strainer may not be completely submerged, so install the shallow depth strainer (2071 or 4652). * The intake tube may have a leak, so replace the intake tube. * The pump tube may be worn, so replace the pump tubing. * The pump roller assembly may be worn, so contact technical support.

How to troubleshoot no instrument power in Hach Laboratory Equipment?
    • B
      Bradley HallAug 27, 2025
If your Hach Laboratory Equipment has no instrument power, check the following: * Make sure that AC power gets to the electrical outlet. * If you have a refrigerated sampler, the power supply may be defective, so replace the power supply. * If the above steps do not solve the issue, the controller may be defective, so contact technical support.

What to do if some measurements are not showing on the Hach Controller?
    • S
      Sabrina LambertAug 23, 2025
Only the measurements recorded to the data log show. To see all the measurements supplied to the sampler by a sensor(s) connected to a sensor port, select Diagnostics>Sensor Ports. To show all the measurements supplied to the sampler by an external instrument(s) that is connected to the AUX I/O port, select Diagnostics>AUX and I/O Port.
