What does 'System Error' mean on my Handicare Wheelchair and how can I fix it?
    • P
      Penny OwenAug 30, 2025
A 'System Error' indicates a fault that cannot be attributed to a specific module. Check all cables and connections. Cycle the power. If the error persists and the system contains 3rd party Modules: Disconnect all the none PGDT modules and cycle the power. If this has cleared the trip: Connect each 3rd party module in turn, cycling the power each time. If the trip reappears after one of the power cycles then the last module to have been added to the system must be defective. If the error persists, the PGDT control system may be defective.

Why ON/OFF light flashes 7 times on Handicare Mobility Aid?
    • J
      jesse12Aug 25, 2025
If the ON/OFF light on your Handicare Mobility Aid flashes 7 times, it indicates a low battery voltage, or the batteries are flat or bad. Charge or replace the batteries. Note that if the voltage is low (less than 12V), the electronics won't work properly, and random LEDs of the DX controller may flash, preventing the wheelchair from functioning.

What does it mean if ON/OFF light flashes 3 times on Handicare Mobility Aid?
    • T
      Timothy BondNov 23, 2025
If the ON/OFF light on your Handicare Mobility Aid flashes 3 times, it could be due to several reasons related to the m1 motor. The m1 motor connection might be faulty or loose, so check the connection and secure it. The m1 motor itself could be defective and need replacement. There might also be a short circuit in the m1 motor connections, requiring correction. Additionally, a defective power module output could be the cause. Check the motor for any defects, as a power module output typically becomes defective due to a motor issue. Replace the power module only if the fault occurs immediately upon switching the unit on. If the fault occurs when you start driving, the entire left-hand motor circuit is likely causing the fault, in which case you should replace the entire drive unit concerne...

What does 'DIME Error' mean on my Handicare Puma 20 and how can I fix it?
    • E
      Edward AndrewsSep 2, 2025
A 'DIME Error' indicates an identification conflict between two modules in the system. If a new module has been introduced: Disconnect the new module and cycle the power. If no error is present, connect the new module to the system and cycle the power. If the error reappears, the new module is the cause. If there have been no additions: Disconnect one module at a time and cycle the power.

What to do if my Handicare Scooter ON/OFF light doesn't turn on and the wheelchair won't move?
    • L
      Lee HansenSep 4, 2025
If the ON/OFF light doesn't illuminate and the Handicare Scooter remains stationary, consider these potential causes and solutions: * Ensure the controller plug is correctly inserted into the power module. It may be a stall timeout, place the joystick in neutral and try again. * Inspect the fuses and replace any that are defective. * Verify that the batteries are properly connected. * Check for loose battery connections and secure them.

    • K
      kristina09Aug 27, 2025
This indicates a battery fault or a defective M1 motor. Check the batteries and cabling, charge or replace the batteries, and check the motor connections and cabling. If the issue persists, the M1 motor may need to be replaced.
