Turn throttle to “max” position and
disengage the belt drive by winding the
engagement handle anti clock-wise
until it comes to a stop.
Pull the pull cord in one smooth motion
to start the engine.
Once the engine is started and has
warmed up (approx. 30 seconds), turn
the choke lever to the “off” position (as
shown in the picture).
To engage the belt drive, slowly rotate
the engagement handle clockwise until
it comes to a stop.
This must be done slowly to allow the
cutting rotor to pick up speed;
otherwise the engine may stall.
