1. Pull the mains cord (13) out
until the yellow marking is vis-
ible on it.
If the red marking is visible,
the mains cord has been
pulled out too far. Allow the
mains cord to retract slightly
(see section ““Finishing vacu-
uming” on page EN-20).
2. Insert the mains plug into a
properly installed socket.

3. Press on the on/off foot
switch (9) to switch the appli-
ance on.
4. To vacuum, push and pull the
nozzle across the surface you
are vacuuming. Rotate the
telescopic tube handle (15)
slightly to reach corners more
effectively. This positions the
nozzle diagonally.
In rare cases this can make
a whistling noise initially.
This is not a malfunction and stops
after a while.
