Setting the suction
force

Set the suction force using the
suction force control unit (2).
Push the suction force control
unit towards MAX to increase
the suction force.
Push the suction force control
unit towards MIN to decrease
the suction force.
Use low suction force to re-
move dust from curtains and
drapes, medium suction force
to vacuum carpets and uphol-
stery, and high suction force
to clean flooring.
Air by-pass vent

You can further adjust the suction
force as needed by using the air
by-pass vent (24). The covering of
the air by-pass vent can be adjust-
ed as desired.
Should you accidentally
vacuum up something,
opening the air by-pass vent
immediately reduces the suction
force. This action will sometimes
prevent vacuumed-up items from
being drawn into the vacuum
bag.
