Boom
Boom and terminology
The sprayer is fitted with VHH, VHY or VHZ. The booms are supported by a trapeze fitted to the tank frame.
The trapeze helps the boom to stay horizontal when unfolded and it protects the boom against vibrations and shocks when
driving on uneven ground. This ensures longer boom life and improves boom stability for better spray distribution.
Booms are available in 12, 12.5 15, 16 and 18 m (VHH 15 m only) working width. All booms are provided with spring loaded
breakaway.
For 2-folded booms the terminology is as follows:
A. Breakaway section
B. Short outer section (2)
C. Large outer section (1)
E. Intermediate section
F. Centre section
