Starting A Fire Automatically
IMPORTANT: Be sure there is no fuel or other
combustibles in the ash pan prior to lighting.
1. Turn Mode Selector to “OFF”.
Thisresetsthecontrolinadditiontoturningitoff.
2. Fill hopperwithpellets.Whenllingthehoppercheck
forexcessivenesinthebottomofthehopper.Fines
aresmallpiecesofbrokenpellets(sawdust).Finesdo
notoweasilyandoftenbuilduponthehopperfunnel
bottomangles.Thesenescanbepushedintothe
feederopeningandthenllthehopperwithpellets.As
thesystemworks,theywillbeburned.
3. Clean burnpot withscraper,ifnecessary.Thisisusually
aweeklymaintenanceprocedure.Cleaningtheburnpot
withthescraperwithasmallamountofnewfuelinthe
bottomisnotaproblem.First,scrapetheashesonthe
frontoftheburnpotintotheashpan.Thenscrapethe
holegridsurfacedownwardintotheburnpot.Whenthe
stoveisignitedthesescrapingswillbepushedoutbythe
feeder.
Note: Ifthe DistributionBlower isrunningwhen theouter
doorisopen,someairwillescapearoundthedooropening.
Thisisnotaproblem.However,anydustthatiscausedin
thecleaningprocesscanpotentiallybetransferredthrough
theduct,orotherwisedispersed.
