ll side rails listed above meet the requirements of the MHRA guidelines DB 2006(06) v2.0. It is
strongly recommended that these guidelines are read prior to using side rails.
Caution:
If any other accessories are attached to the bed a
full risk assessment
must be completed.
APC-8199 HSR and APC-8199 FSR have been specially designed for the Home Care Bed; however
you must ensure the following points are adhered to:

Ensure that the rails are securely fitted before use every day.

The gap between the side rail and the bed must
less than 60mm or more than
318mm
to
minimise the risk of entrapment and to comply with entrapment guidance and
regulations.
Ensure that the distance from the top of the uncompressed mattress and the top of the side
rail
is at least 220mm.

Attaching Side Rails to the bed
When attaching side rails the consideration of safety is paramount. Side rails with

from the bed end.
