For lower impedance magnetic passive pickups and dynamic
microphones, a max. of 6m is recommended, but shorter leads are
preferable and low capacitance leads are the gold standard
3.2.2 LEADS FOR ACTIVE PICKUPS - Quality active (powered)
pickup systems of all types are least affected, but are not unaffected
by lead length and quality. A maximum of 10m (33') is
recommended. For lengths exceeding 10m ensure use of balanced
cables
3.2.3 OUTPUT / BALANCED XLR D.I - Running a balanced signal
greatly extend effective lead lengths possible without noise build up,
making cable quality less critical for noise
4.0 CH.1. JACK INPUT (Stereo 1/4" / 6.35mm diam.)
Located on front end.
EDB-2 VAP mixes Stereo Inputs to Jack IN on Ch.1 or Ch.2, across
both channels, while accepting Phantom Power to Ch.1 and Ch.2
Jack In
Accepts active and passive pickups, dynamic, ribbon and electret
condenser microphones. The Stereo (TRS - Tip / Ring / Sleeve)
socket is configured for standard mono to Ch.1 or stereo jack plug
inputs routing between Ch.1 and Ch.2.
TRS socket allows blending of two signals where Ring is routed to
Channel 2, also the option of Phantom Power on 1 contact at 5v or
10v via a 3 way slider switch on top.
