11.4 DUAL INSTRUMENT MIX : Blending two instruments together
with similar ranges can cause the sound or individual notes to partly
cancel each other out. In order to prevent this, the signals may be
separated audibly in a mix by substantially cutting the low end of
one Instrument. To achieve this effect use Range, Notch Filter or
Bass and Low Mid Controls
12.0 PHASE REVERSE / ANTI-FEEDBACK
Located on top
Allows you to better match between separate signals via 2 channels
in a mix, or via both channels compared to non EDB-2 VAP signals
in any larger mix.
Phase is equivalent to tiny time delays between separate signals.
The function is to make signals sound more integrated within a mix
Phase Reverse is also used to beat feedback. A small change in
tone is inevitable
"In Phase" - Normal position. Signal is unaffected
"Out of Phase" - In middle position. Ch.1 against Ch.2. May be used
for antifeedback
"Out of Phase" In top position. EDB-2 VAP against other non EDB-2
VAP signals in a mix. Alternative anti-feedback option
