11.3 " ROCK ACOUSTIC" SETTING: where amplifying an acoustic
guitar or other acoustic instrument over a loud electric band, such
as where high powered stage monitor speakers are used, there may
be little or no point attempting to amplify the bass end of an acoustic
guitar since it would be obscured by electric bass guitar, bass drum
or keyboards etc. It may be prone to feedback at relatively low
volume levels. This setting contributes to defeating feedback on
acoustic instruments
To achieve a “Rock Acoustic” effect, set Range control fully CW.
You may further reduce bass and low mid EQ controls and may set
Notch Filter to cut broadly below approx. 300-800 Hz. The effect
would be to allow the "shimmer" of Acoustic Guitar chords to be
heard, with lower frequencies cut. The result may be a useful sound
in ensemble, similar to cymbals, but with the minimum possibility of
feedback at higher volumes
