Setting Range Control fully CW at 300Hz will thin out the sound.
See "Rock Acoustic" below
The instrument markers are rough guides and not set in stone.
Listen to the result at the low and decide where you want the two
control(s) based on depth of sound required and whether there are
problematic aspects that may need trimming out, such as low thump
The frequencies offered around the controls are approximate
11.2 STRINGED INSTRUMENTS - THEIR LOWEST
FREQUENCIES PRODUCED
This in an approximate guide to help set Range Control or Notch
Filter, to tame boom and feedback
Bass Guitar/ Double Bass (E) = 40Hz
5 String Basses theoretically produce 30Hz on Low "B" string
but there is no fundamental produced at around that low a
frequency. In addition, no bass amplifier available is able to
reproduce such low frequencies. Instead, we perceive the 30Hz via
the harmonics, at an octave or more above, i.e at 60Hz. Set Control
ACW around "Bass" position or according to taste
Baritone Guitar ("B" to "B") = 60Hz
Cello (Low "C") = 65Hz
D Guitar (Dropped "D" Guitar Tuning) = 70Hz
Acoustic Guitar / Nylon Strung Guitars ("E") = 80Hz
