16.2 D.I BALANCED OUTPUTS VIA TWO XLRs
Located on rear end Balanced XLRs are less sensitive to cable
quality. They minimise noise or losses from long cable lengths and
may be interfaced with rack units, pedals, combo amplifiers,
headphone amps, recording interfaces and some power amplifiers
XLR OUT “A” routes Ch.1
XLR OUT “B” is linked to switch located on top, offering: Ch.2 Mono,
Ch.1 Mono, or a Mix of Ch.1 & Ch.2
Front of house sound engineers sometimes prefer separate
balanced stereo outputs from Ch.1 and Ch.2 respectively
An XLR Output lead that terminates in a stereo (balanced) or mono
jack plug may be used as an alternative to XLR to XLR leads, where
convenient
Passive D.I boxes are designed for microphones only and can be
problematic with pickups. EDB-2 VAP eliminates the need to resort
to inferior D.I. Boxes or additional D.I boxes in the signal chain
