INTERMITTENT OPERATION
This rope hoist is designed for S3 type operation 20% - 10 min (periodic intermittent operation).
The relative work cycle is 20%, which means that the device can be operated at rated load
for 2 minutes in a 10-minute work cycle and then switched off for 8 minutes to cool down.
The device can therefore be used continuously for 20% of the total operating cycle at rated load.
1. Check that the emergency stop switch (fig. 1 / part 9) is closed.
2. Turn the red switch clockwise and release it.
3. Press the operating button in the direction ▲(fig. 1 / part 10) to lift the load.
4. Press the operating button in the direction ▼(fig. 1 / part 10) to lower the load.
5. Switch the operating button to the middle position to stop the motor.
• In the event of an emergency, the rope hoist can be stopped immediately by pressing
the emergency stop switch (fig. 1 / part 9). After using the emergency switch, the rope
hoist cannot be operated with the operating buttons until it is turned on again by turning it.
• The upper end switch bracket switches off the lift when the maximum possible lift height is
reached. The weight (fig. 1 / part 7) raises the lever (fig. 1 / part 5), which opens the circuit
with the limit switch and disconnects the motor. The load cannot be lifted anymore.
• The lower end switch bracket (fig. 1 / part 4) shuts off the motor in a similar way by
releasing the rope. E.g., even if you accidentally press the start button instead of the lift
button. The rope must always be taut.
