  If you observe misaligned or flashing points, or an incomplete field of view in the point cloud of your Hesai Measuring Instruments, consider the following: First, ensure the LiDAR's enclosure is clean. If it is dirty, clean it according to Chapter 7 Sensor Maintenance. Second, confirm that the LiDAR's calibration file is imported. Note that Pandar40P automatically imports the calibration file, while Pandar40 requires manual importing. Finally, check for packet loss. If no packets are missing but the point cloud flashes, update PandarView to the latest version and restart your PC. If the problem persists, try connecting the LiDAR to another PC.

  If the motor is running but no output data is received on either Wireshark or PandarView for your Hesai Measuring Instruments, ensure the Ethernet cable is properly connected. Also, check the IP configuration: use Wireshark to get the LiDAR’s IP and ensure it’s in the same subnet as the PC’s. Verify the angle range of laser firing and data generation on the Azimuth FOV page of web control. Finally, check the firmware version of the sensor on the Upgrade page of web control. If the version is not shown properly but as 'xxxx', contact Hesai for further diagnostics.

  If you can receive data on Wireshark but not on PandarView with your Hesai Measuring Instruments, make sure the Destination IP and the Destination LiDAR Port are set correctly on the Settings page of web control. Also, ensure that the PC’s firewall is disabled.
