7.2.1 Application scenarios

Passive serial device networking refers to a way in which all equipment in the system
has been waiting for connection in a passive state, only the background server initiate to
connect with equipment, and request or download data. Some typical applications, such as
sensor networks, entrance guard controller and so on, each sensor terminal or entrance
guard controller is collecting data all the time in realtime. The data collected did not upload
at once, but temporarily stored in the device. While the backend server periodically connect
the equipment every once in a while actively, and request to upload or download data. At
