Insulation Resistance Measurement
- The 800PL series calculates Insulation Resistance (IR) during Automatic and
Manual mode operation (See Page 9, Item 13).
- IR measurement range is 10 kΩ…40 GΩ
- Depending on the duration of the test the system will calculate the following:
o Dielectric Absorption Ratio(DAR):
▪ This is the Result of IR of 60 seconds divided by IR of 30
seconds. Note: resistance timer starts after target voltage is
reached.

o Polarization Index(PI):
▪ This is the Result of IR of 600 seconds(10 minutes) divided by IR
of 60 seconds(1 minute). Note: resistance timer starts after target
