12. Trouble shooting
Problem
Liquid column in the pipette does
not hold (pipette drops or runs
out)
The pump will not blow out the
pipette
The pump does not function
neither filling nor blowing out
Possible cause
- Safety valve built-in incorrectly
- Pipetholder is untight
- The green hose in not attached
to, or not attached firmly to,
the pump
- Safety valve incorrectly
positioned
- Pump not connected to net
work
- Pump defective
Solution
- Insert the safety valve so, that the side
with the black O-ring points to the filter
(see point 8).
- Test the correct assembly sequence for
the pipetholder. If required, test or
replace individual components.
- Silicone adapters can become worn or
cracked. Change if necessary.
- Filters can be blocked. Change if
necessary.
- Push the hose on firmly.
- Place the safety valve so that the black
O-ring shows towards the filter.
- Connect the unit plug to the mains
supply.
- Return the unit to the manufacturer for
repair.
