Press the BLANK button on the remote control.
The blank screen will be displayed instead of the screen of
input signal. Please refer to the BLANK item in SCREEN
menu (
42).
To exit from the blank screen and return to the input signal
screen, press the BLANK button again.
Temporarily blanking the screen

The projector automatically exits from the BLANK mode when some control
buttons are pressed.

Pressing the SHUTTER button closes or opens the mechanical lens shutter.
The closed shutter blocks the projection light, so that it can black out the
screen.
Temporarily shutting the image
● The SHUTTER indicator on the projector blinks while the shutter is closed.
● The projector will turn off automatically when the time set up by the SHUTTER
TIMER passes
(48).
● When turning the power off with the STANDBY/ON button
(20)
, the lens
shutter closed opens automatically. If the power supply is stopped while opening
or closing the lens shutter, the moving of the lens shutter is stopped too.
However, when turning the projector on, the lens shutter closed or incompletely
opened opens automatically.
