To help prevent serious injuries, load the components in the storage cabinet in the
pr
escribed or
der:
1. If present, install the rack stabilizer plate to the front of the system cabinet.
2. Load the Fibre Channel (FC) switches in the storage cabinet at the positions
recommended in the System Installation Guide. The positions can be adjusted
according to a specic storage cabinet conguration.
3. Load and position the server(s) directly above the FC switches, if used in your
conguration.
4. The System Management Unit (SMU), if used in your conguration, should be
placed directly below the FC switches.
5. The rst storage enclosure should be positioned at the bottom of the storage
cabinet. Additional enclosures are then placed above existing enclosures, going
towards the top of the system cabinet.
6. Once the bottom half of the storage cabinet has been lled, the top half of the
storage cabinet can be lled. Begin by placing a storage component directly above
the server and then ll upwards.
