USING THE AUTO IRIS FEATURE
This
Camera/Recorder
is
provided
with
an
auto
iris
mechanism
which
automatically
adjusts
the
lens
aperture
in
ac-
cordance
with
the
incident
light
when
the
“IRIS”
Control
is
placed
in
“AUTO”
position.
When
the
object
is
dark,
the
iris
opens
automatically,
and
it
closes
when
the
object
is
bright.
When
the
power
is
switched
off,
the
iris
is
automatically
set
to
the
fully
closed
position.

You can also adjust the iris manually.
e When the object is in bright light and the
background is dark, adjust the “IRIS” Control
counterclockwise to narrow the iris opening.
e When the background is in bright light and the ob-
ject appears to be too dark, adjust “IRIS” Control
clockwise to widen the iris opening.
USING THE FADE-IN/FADE-OUT FEATURE
Fade-in
and
fade-out
are
shooting
techniques
to
soften
the
transition
of
the
scenes
from
one
to
another.
The
fade-in
causes
the
picture
to
start
dark,
gradually
increasing
in
brightness.
In
the
fade-out,
the
opposite
takes
place;
a
bright
picture
gradually
darkens
until it disappears
completely.
