7.1 Safety instructions
The installation of electrical devices in HOBBY's motor homes
has been carried out in accordance with the valid regulations
• Donotremovethesignsonelectricalcomponentsgiving
safety instructions or danger warnings.
• The installationspaces aroundelectrical equipment
suchasdistributionfuseboards,electricpowersupply,
etc.,maynotbeusedasadditionalstoragespaces.
• Smokingandnakedameareforbiddenwhenchecking
electricalequipment.
• Onlyauthorisedspecialistsmayworkontheelectrical
system.
• Inexperthandlingofthevehicle‘selectricalsystemmay
endanger your own life as well as that of others.
• Toconnecttoanexternal230Vmainsconnection,
useonlyaweather-proof,3-wireextensioncordwith
aCEEplugandconnector.
Advice and instructions
Important
• Anychangestotheelectricalinstallationsmayonlybecarried
outbyaprofessionalelectrician.
• Disconnectthebatteryandswitchothe230Vmainsbefore
carryingoutanymaintenancework.
Batteries
•
Pleaseobservethebatterymanufacturer’soperatinginstructions.
• Theacidinthebatteryispoisonousandcorrosive.Avoid
contactwitheyesandskin.
• Thecompletelydischargedbatterymustberechargedforat
least24hours.Thebatterymaybedamagedifithasbeen
dischargedformorethan8weeks.
• Avoidtotaldischargesincethissignicantlyreducestheperfor-
mancecapacityandservicelifeofthebatteries.
• Checkthelevelofthebatteryuidregularly(acidbatteries);
AGM-batteriesrequirenomaintenance,butmustbecontinuous-
ly recharged.
• Checkthatthebatteryclampsaresecureandremoveany
layersofoxide.
