12. Limited Product Warranty
The device has been built from rugged and durable materials to withstand use in harsh environments for long
periods of time. However, the reader contains electronic components that can be damaged if they are deliber-
ately exposed to extreme abuse. This damage can adversely affect, or stop the reader’s operation. The user must
avoid deliberately striking other surfaces and objects with the device. Damage that results from such handling is
not covered by the warranty described below.
The Universal WorldScan™ Reader Plus is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, under normal
use and service for two (2) years from the day of shipment.
This warranty will not apply if adjustment, repair or parts replacement is required because of accident, neglect,
damage during transportation or causes other than ordinary use.
Manufacturer’s sole responsibility under this warranty shall be at its option, to either repair or replace any product
which fails during the warranty period. In no event shall Manufacturer be liable for any indirect or consequential
damages or loss of prot.
