      If your Homelite Trimmer's engine won't start, begin by checking for a spark. Remove the spark plug, reattach its cap, and place it against the metal cylinder. Pull the rope to look for a spark at the plug tip. If no spark appears, try again using a new spark plug. Also, push the primer bulb until it fills with fuel. If it doesn't fill, the primary fuel delivery system might be blocked, and you should contact a service dealer. If the primer bulb fills, the engine could be flooded. In that case, squeeze the trigger and repeatedly pull the rope until the engine starts. Keep in mind that depending on how flooded the engine is, this may require many pulls.
