7. To prevent the clips from falling into the vehicle body,
roll up a shop towel, and insert it between the driver’s
A-pillar and the dashboard. Be careful not to damage
the A-pillar trim.

8. Remove the driver’s A-pillar trim. Remove the shop
towel and any clips that fell from the A-pillar. 
NOTE: The upper clip will
stay in the body.

9. Remove the upper clip from the driver’s 
A-pillar.

10. Temporarily reinstall the driver’s A-pillar trim. Check
the overlap between the headliner and the trim,
according to service manual specifications. Remove
the trim, and install the new clip (supplied).
