13)Attach a thin sealing tape around the threads at the
end of the piston rod.
14)Apply ATF to the top
of
the piston rod and O-ring of
the outer tube install the outer tub
to
the piston rod.
To
install turn the outer tube by hand taking care
not
to
damage the O-ring in the outer tube.
15)Tighten the outer tube
2
or 3 turns, then apply LOC-
TITEB 241 or equivalent
to
the thread of the outer
tube as shown.
16)Tighten the outer tube to the specified torque using
the 30 mm lock nut wrench.
TORQUE:
64 Nom (6.5 kgfom, 47 Ibfoft)
17) Remove the pistonkylinder assembly from the vise
and clean
off
the residual LOCTITEB from the outer
tube.
