Remove the seat (page 2-3).
Disconnect the connector from the ICM and conduct these
tests at the connector.

Remove the fuel tank front cushions and front side covers

Disconnect the spark plug caps from the spark plugs.
Disconnect the ignition primary terminals from the coils and
remove the mounting bolts and nuts.

Remove the ignition coils.

Battery voltage should register with the ignition
switch ON and the engine stop switch RUN.

Continuity in neutral
No continuity in any gear except neutral
Continuity with the side nand up
No continuity with the side stand down
Continuity.
Install the ignition coils in the reverse order of removal
NOTE

Route the spark plug wires properly as shown.
