  After a NOVRam reset, if the flexconn commands are not working for a particular flexline radar gauge, it means that the FlexConn address is wrongly configured for radar gauges in CIU 888. To resolve this: 1. Change the flexconn address using SmartView. 2. If the configuration has 8xx gauge type, change the gauge type to 990 and assign a non-used flexconn address. Then, revert the gauge type back to 8xx gauge type.

  If you are unable to perform a manual switchover via Entis Pro, there are a couple of potential causes: * The Sync Link cable between the CIU 888s might be disconnected. In this case, reconnect the Sync Link cable, wait for the initial synchronization to complete, and check the CIU 888 Web interface for an event log indicating that the system is ready for switchover. Then, try the manual switchover again via Entis Pro. * The CIU 888s in the redundant system setup might not be fully synchronized. Try restarting the secondary CIU 888.

  If the site scan from Engauge is timing out, it means the CIU888 is unable to complete the site scan within the Engauge time limits. To address this: 1. Increase the Engauge timeout from 1500-9999 ms based on CIU 888 configuration. 2. Configure CIU888’s field port retries to 1 (minimum supported in Ensite Pro). 3. Disable downlink CIU scan in Engauge. Create the downlink CIUs and their associated gauges manually in Engauge (as we do in case of CIU880). 4. Configure CIU888’s Field port timeout as 1500 ms (as we do in case of CIU880).
