Applying by Hand
Apply a handful of HOST to each square yard
(or square meter) of dirty carpet.
Do not apply to an area larger than 10 feet by 10 feet
(approx. 10 sq. meters) to keep HOST from drying out.
Begin brushing as soon as you have finished applying.

Brushing with the Freestyle
Make sure the white vacuum switch is OFF.
Make three passes over the area. Use push-pull strokes just like when you vacuum.

How to Clean Carpet with the Freestyle

Cleaning Carpeted Stairs
Use the base of the Freestyle to clean carpeted stairs:
Remove the vacuum pod.
Remove the operating handle.
Use the base to clean stairs.

Unscrew handle
locking shaft
completely, lower
handle parallel to
floor and slide
handle out.
Lift and turn
handle release
knob 1/4 turn.
Vacuuming
Turn both machine brushes and vacuum switches ON.
Vacuum the area you have just finished brushing in
2 directions: north/south and east/west.
Continue to vacuum in 2 directions until all visible
HOST is recovered.
The Freestyle vacuums best if HOST is a bit damp.
Vacuum in 2 directions.
